Monster inside me,
Grows with each fear,
Whispers my name,
Echoes through the year.

In the dark of night,
It comes alive,
A shadow within,
That I cannot deny.

It feeds on my doubts,
And grows with each lie,
A beast that I've made,
That refuses to die.

But still I hold on,
To the hope in my heart,
That one day I'll tame,
This monster and never depart.
