Her Smile Beneath The Moon🌕
She closed my eyes,
whispered softly in my ears,
"I want to show you something."
Her smile danced in her breath,
a gentle breeze grazing my ear.
She stood me up, led me forward,
each step caressed by the softest grass,
like I was walking on cotton clouds.
Her hands then left my eyes,
"Look at the sky," she said.
At first, only a heavy cloud
with edges bathed in dim light
met my gaze. But as it drifted away,
it unveiled a sight more enchanting.
The moon emerged,
not just any moon,
but a grand, golden sphere,
glowing with a brilliance
I had never witnessed.
So close it seemed,
I almost reached out to touch it.
I turned to her,
her smile pure and childlike,
a silent joy, as if she were
presenting a cherished drawing,
waiting for praise. Her eyes sparkled
with delight as she broke the silence.
“I wanted to show you this,” she said,
her gaze lingering on the moonlit sky.
“This is the harvest moon.”
Her voice was filled with wonder,
her face aglow with the joy of sharing.
She smiled as if the night itself were a gift,
content in the beauty she had revealed.
