He made them in his image
He made them his children
A skilled sculptor, he made masterpieces of them
But they were lifeless

Like clay dolls they were
But he gave them the Breath of life
He gave them Dominion
He placed them above everything

He placed them in a beautiful garden
He talked with them friend to friend
But in the garden, he gave one rule..
"Don't eat of this tree"

But then came the antagonist of this beautiful story, the devil he was
Jealous of humans, he deceived them
And through the same fruit, he made victims of them.

The Creator called and no one answered.
They hid from him because they were naked.
Naked,they were indeed.
Stripped of their glory and dominion.

They had lost to the devil this time
But he didn't give up on them.
He was always with them
From generation to generation

Centuries passed and these people forgot their first friend.
He called several times , but they would not return.
They turned towards strange loves.
Replacing their Creator with their creations.

"Who would save these people?" The Creator asked.
"Who would atone for them?"
" I would go " said His only Son.
And He gave his Son for these stiff-necked people.

Oh, what he gave for his Beloved people.
Oh, how he loved them that he gave them a second chance.
He always gave to them
And all he wanted in return
Was what they had in the beginning.
