It was a perfect day to remember

The sun shined so bright

The trees and flowers looked lush and green

While the waters waved gracefully

Oh!

It was truly a day to remember

Because

We stood at our favourite spot while

nature served us its finest.


And I also remember how

You held my hands and

professed your undying love

With tears and love in your eyes.


They are moments now

All in the past

Still they're memories that I'd hold unto for the rest of my life.


I really wish you were standing with me in person

and not covered in a box that shields the sunlight you adore so much.


Time has gone

Years have passed by

But I still see your teary loving eyes

that pierces through my soul

Oh!

It's like you never left


Now I stand at our favourite spot

with your ashes to stand by me

The sun still shines so bright

The trees and flowers looking lush and green

But the waters wave aggressively - this time


Oh!

It is a day to remember

Because I stood at that very spot

While I watched the waters express my burning emotions.
