The book of memories
#WritcoPoemPrompt16
The pages of my old book,
Hold my memories of yesterday,
Every smile, every tear,
Every person who came my way
Days piled as they come and go,
one on top of the other,
as they passed, aimlessly ambling,
with memories, both shared
and unshared, with love given
and love unrequited.
some pages written in blood
from the scars buried deep
inside my heart,
words whose utterance,
cuts like a blade in my throat.
the pages of my old book,
hold my memories of yesterday,
every victory, every loss,
every person who came my way.
