Limpid pools shine black as night,
Two arms wide open to hold me tight.
A smile so warm to chase away,
Night time demons, till light of day.
You wait so patiently for me,
No other love could ever be,
More deep or meaningful it’s true,
Than the love I feel for you.
My first love you’ll always be,
For when I look I’ll always see,
You as you were right from the start,
After all these years spent in my heart.
So though your hair’s a little thin,
You’ve lost an eye and half your grin,
For my first love I’ll always care,
