What hurts more than No
People say that "No" it's the worse possible answer to hear from someone we love.
But I don't think that's true.
The "No" is definitive. It's a period that finishes a sentence and a chapter, allowing us to move forward.
What hurts the most is the "What If".
It's not a definitive ending, it's the cliffhanger that keeps us hooked, still thinking about all the things that could have been.
It makes us stay awake at night, wondering
What If life had given us a chance to love? What If I could have made you happy? What If it was us?
Those questions never leave us in peace, and we'll always wonder
What If it could have been love?
