living well below luxury,
hustling and bustling,
giving in to austerity.

Good things come,
and good things go,
feeling lost in the wind,
a day late, a dollar short.

Holding on to promises
of higher prosperity,
working for the better,
a higher level of austerity.

Praying and believing
it will get better
and abounding the ideas of
a day late, a dollar short.
