See Me From My Sight
Queen of my tub, I merrily sing,
While the white foam rises
As I wash rinse and wring,
These clothes blue and pink.
They will then be kept in the Sun to dry
Under the peaceful afternoon sky.
I wish we could wash our hearts that way,
All the stains of sins away!

There is not a moment to spare for rest
From the dawn to dusk.
Always aiming for the best
While the cupboards, vases and shelves I dust.
Not a single thought do I have of a moment
When on my couch I may lay,
For I'm glad a task to me is given
To labour at day by day!
