New Year's Day
I awoke today
Another year has gone
And what have I done
Doesn't seem like much
But then I thought of all the tears
All the tears I've cried
This has been a trying year
One I'd like to forget
But if I forgot
I'd forget the love that I've shared
By the one who I lost
By my number one
By my family
By my friends
By the strangers on the Internet
By the strangers in the community
And what did I accomplish?
In addition to the tears shed
I survived
I survived, and I think that's spectacular
So, another year has gone
