The Life of A Christian
"Christians" we claim to be and yet the same worldly cares can be found both in our lives and the people of the world.

We say "We follow Christ" but we still have the same turn of mind as the unbelievers and we are both equally vain in our desires.

Oh no, we lie. For that is not Christianity.

We raise our hands when the word "Christians" is mentioned but it can still be seen in us the same affectionate desire for status and possessions, the same pride and vanity of dress, the same self-love and indulgence, with the sinners of the world.

Isn't there supposed to be a wide gap?

Isn't Christianity meant to not allow us to live in the common ways of life?

Isn't Christianity destined to make us renounce the world and to be different in every disposition and way of life from the spirit and way of the world?

Oh so claimed Christian, if your life is not a well-displayed course of humility. self-denial, renunciation of the world, poverty of spirit and heavenly affection, you do not live the life of a Christian.

I write unto you because you have lost your first love.
