In Me
Why does this sound resound In me.
A competition invisibly.
Feelings without the words.
The cacophony of dischord.
Why does the symphony never end.
Only a quarter rest just to begin again.

Breathe in breathe out and then repeat.
Its cadence in sync to to my breaking heartbeat.

Then from the din a new sound arise
The evidence I seek that another is alive.
The song now two parts resounds in me
In us there's a lyric singing in harmony.

Agreement between the word and the song.
At last the sound that goes on and on
Has meaning and purpose and all now will hear
And drown all life in the undulations I hear.

So long I sought a way out and now
I have one but I'm not willing to leave, for the cost is not mine but all society.
For to turn the blind eye on all these around me is no better than what is, 1%'s tyranny.

Who will hear the song that we sing?
We will, yes we will and that makes us kings.

For in what we sing we find ourselves, and that is a freedom surpassing all else.

When no one but me defines who I am I sing like the lion who was born first a lamb.

Led to the slaughter of slow death below
No more! For I sing until everyone knows
Who they are, you're royal every one.
And dignity will not be lost no matter what you've done.
