What if time ran backwards
And we were all born old
Awaking from a sleep
Instead of stiff and cold

No need to learn about life
We’d already have the wisdom
The knowledge of a lifetime
Much like an instinct

How would we treat each other
In a anti-aging society
Unlearning instead of learning
Until just an innocent baby

Would our leaders still choose war
Or would they opt for world peace
Already knowing how insane it is
To unleash the war machine

Perhaps todays “arms race”
Would mean something else
Like an “open arms race”
Of unity and love

Switch back to forward time
Where wisdom is eventually found
But too often it is too late
For the younger ones around

Past regrets fill the graveyards
New generations pay the price
For the inexperienced decisions
Made without thinking twice
