Strange friendship:
Strange friendship:
The tyrant’s eyes, my gaze fell on
His loathsome face was all I saw
As he started tying me up
I could feel my gut stretching up
His brown beady eyes pierced my heart
Iike a thousand bees stinging parts
His cold hands adjusted a tight string around my waist
Embodied with anger and bursting with hate
The eyes that bore into mine contained something more than rage
Greed was the only thing that kept him on this pace
I wish I could direct him towards the light
Yet all I thought was about surviving this reckless night
As he wrenched out a battered looking gun
With which a single push would have the deed done
Then he asked me about the money
Even though I had nothing to offer but a penny
Cursing me under his breath
and threatening me with the gun in his hand
he spat, he would kill me
And I knew he was only planning to harm me
I requested him to slaughter me
If that was the only way that would perish his greed
Stunned at my response, he stared at me
His brown eyes softening his greed
And inclining towards peace
From then on, we have been best friends
Though thieves, yet pleased with what we have.
A life that glows like gold
Friendship that rattles the sound of hope.
This way he taught me to live
To burn away the guilt
The tyrant’s eyes, my gaze fell on
