Do you ever feel a slight
melancholy towards the rain?
Does it make you feel safe
or causes you more pain?

It must be the raindrops,
those clear, cold waters.
The distinct sound of my own sobs,
and of tears that falter.
The coldness it brings to ones skin,
or the calmness in my soul, deep within.

Of how it soothes me,
is still but a mystery.

My one and only melancholy.
