I can close my eyes
and what's behind my lids
is not blank or black.

It's not a void of emptiness like some people describe it to be
and I'll tell you what it is.

Bright Colors and aspirations and
Scenes about arguments from last night still lingers in my head about what I should have said.

It's funny actually, how I'm not afraid to dream like others.
My dreams may be bleak or colorful.
Does it matter, though?

I'm not afraid to close my eyes
When I need to get away from the rush of the world.
All I need is just a lean back and I'm gone.

My dreams are strange though,
They don't make sense sometimes and sometimes they do
but I don't care

I don't care, I'm not normal.
so it doesn't matter what type my dreams are.
I am a dreamer.
