The Becoming
As the crimson red sinks into the deep blue sea,
I drift with the tide and wonder in glee;
As the birds return to their nest,
I breathe a sigh and clutch my chest.

Destiny, an astute figment knocking at the door
I stand here still, pondering at the shore
To gain my sanity and days of yore
But time uncanny, who are we to implore?

As I gaze further into the oblivion,
The dusky hues descend in steep horizon;
Thoughts flutter with the sound of breeze,
Unending dreams in my pocket to sieze.

As I smile at the sea to bid final goodbyes
With sea salt memories in my hands,
The lighthouse screams from the west
And I ease my mind to rest.
