Laments against the unseen
Leave me alone for my years on earth are few
When they took my clothes to perform rituals
When they scattered my possessions to tell the story that I was mad
When they told false stories to people
You saw them yet you did nothing
When they provoked me and expected me to say nothing
Don't force me to stay awake when I'm not a robot
Or starve to death when I'm not a child but an adult
Don't force me to run and be quick for I am not Usain Boat
When I could be patient not to hurt your ego
Don't ask me to share your dreams and missions
Like Martin Luther king I have my own vision
Don't force me to fight back to prove my innocence
When I could resort to a better form of civil disobedience
Oh yes! don't ask me to fight back because I am not Mohammed Ali
Leave me alone for my years on earth are few
