I am happy today. today sunshine lights up my heart and energy flows through my veins. It's amazing, yet humbling, the power and adaptability of a human over time. Especially, when equipped with adequate resources. Even with a lack of them, the resolve a human has to dig themselves out of a pit, is humbling. We can be so delicate, so melancholy, but on the same token, be resilient and awe-inspiring. I have trudged through my demons, dying a little more each day. But today I smile with the power to enjoy the present moment. Neither an overburdened slave of the past or a weary voyager lost in a desolate and unknown future. The chemicals in my body are working, my painstaking improvements are panning out. Small but mighty, slowly but steadily, I pave a place for myself in this life. Today, let me feel at home in my body and mind, unfettered.
