In Indiana's prison system,
Where fears and tensions loom,
Maximum security facilities stand,
Guarded by tall walls and razor wire,
A place of confinement and gloom.
Spread out across the state,
These prisons hold the most dangerous,
Where violence and crime dictate,
A gladiator school,
cell houses reign.
The death house of the condemned,
A place of finality and despair,
Where inmates await their fate,
In silence and solemn prayer.
Surrounded by electrified fences,
And motion sensors on high alert,
Security measures tight and tense,
In a place where chaos can easily assert.
In the heart of the system lies a prison,
Feared by all who know its name,
A place of darkness and isolation,
Where the worst of the worst seek fame.
Indiana's prison system,
A stark reality of our world,
Where lives are confined and restricted,
But amidst the darkness and despair,
Hopes of redemption still dwell,
For in the depths of the prison's lair,
There lies a chance for souls to be repaired,
So let us not forget the prisoners,
Locked away from society's eye,
For in the shadows of their confinement,
They too deserve a chance to fly.
