Five words that hide the truth beating in my chest.
I silently follow as you hold her hand gently,
Walking slowly, my own feeling quite empty.
I am the only one to blame for the way things played out,
So now I have no choice but to deal with this unpleasant route.
Even though being just friends is something my feelings greatly oppose,
And staying quiet won’t let them wither away like a rose,
I have no other choice if I want to stay close to you.
Maybe I should do what you did and find someone new,
Yet no matted what I do, my heart refuses to beat for anyone besides you.
