As Nightmares get real
She sat by the fireplace, too scared to look back
The blazing flames sometimes showed his face
A cut by his eyebrow, she knew it would have hurt
That was not just a mark but a symbol of her pain.

Now as the warmth died out she dreaded the time
She would see him like everyday else
Nothing more than to get away she wanted
But his soul seemed to haunt her now more than ever.

The house was now hers, a grave fault now she knew
Wherever she turned, she could sense his presence
He strangled her in dreams, his eyes seeking the unanswered
Nowhere was safe for the house answered his wish.

She lay there withering, an invisible hand caught her throat
Screaming for the pain to go away she fell
Even the blankets seemed to curse...
