It's been raining for hours,
Admired its misty view from the window,
Could hear the wind and the showers,
While you lay your head on my pillow

I'll hold you close honey as the rain softly hits the window
I'll watch aware you'd never understand that I'm here
As a lover
As a friend
As a sister
As a mother
I know you miss the affection
So honey I'll hum you to sleep at the beat of the soft rain drops

Lie your head down the rain won't be done for hours
I'll admire the misty view of the rains beautiful hues as I hold you
And listen to the winds blow and the rains shower
Sleep well, my love, rest your head I'll protect you
