Two lovers who promise never to leave each other
#WritcoPoemPrompt55
Two lovers who promise never to leave each other,
A sequel they might gather, while rain scatters,
But lately, it's been one woe after another
Since the past of one is haunting the other.

A promise so untrue,
Destroying something so good.
Causing one to feel like a fool.
Fighting with the man in the past,
Losing focus and doubting the future,
Since the other half is still holding on to the past.

Two lovers who promised never to leave each other.
Loving, caring and thinking only of each other.
Hoping and praying things runs smooth for each other.
Seeing no reason to talk about the past of each other.
But to focus on building the future of each other.
Only there are skeletons in the closet of the other.

Two lovers who promised never to leave each other.
Now they are avoiding each other,
They are judging each other,
The other wants the other to understand,
The other wonder why the other didn’t explain at first,
Whilst the past is watching and laughing,
The future is impatiently waiting,
Cause the present is confused and arousing feelings of discomfort.

Woe unto the other.
Fingers pointing each other.
Each blaming the other.
Both not acting like lovers.
Clear signs it’s about to get over.
Before he could even betroth her.
The past is totally taking over.
And the game is over.

Two lovers who promised never to leave each other.
