The Fragility of Tranquility
Walking beside the river,
Enjoying nature at every turn,
I sensed a sweet serenity
As my heart did truly burn.
Birds were flying carefree
High up in the blue,
Enjoying, it seemed, the sunshine,
Warming each wing right through.
Daffodils, like trumpets of gold
Appeared to dance in the breeze,
And a group of Mallards swam
Beneath...
