Yes— but I'm building an empire off words meant to take

You could have—no — you should have kept all your words for yourself
Maybe tossed at me some sticks— just enough to build a shelf
Perhaps if you would have, then I could have bought your story
I might or may have displayed it there, in all its glory

But you chose the classic route— judging me by my jacket
I'll be better than fine— do you think your soul can hack it?
