"You're better than you think",
are the words I tried to tell her,
hoping she wouldn't sink,
in self-condemnation and despair.

I tried to change her mind,
but all I met was resistance,
and thus I was in a bind,
cause I failed to give her assistance.

She had long lost hope,
in the wonders that lie inside.
She is barely able to cope,
so she instead tries to hide.



If only words had power,
to change this situation,
and bring life to the flower,
that's beyond my imagination.
