I remember being terrified of the night.
Being engulfed in a void of whispers seemed to be a sin against nature.
But now, I'm comforted by the night.
I understand that we are a part of this hidden community as we rest.
Safe is the night with fireflies, wolves, and turtles...
The tide, the moon, and the stars.
We share the Earth's love as we rest.
And maybe,
the night isn't so much a stranger as we seem to believe.
