[a legacy of love]
[a #writco.in elegy]

My one and only dad,
Left me on earth at nineteen, so sad.
At fourteen, he taught me to praise,
Not just how to plant maize, but to raise
my voice in worship, to glorify God.
He taught me to pray, to give glory at thirteen,
And find freedom from the devil's chain.

I wish he were alive today,
To guide me through life's uncertain way.
I need my dad, I miss him so,
He left me at a very young age, I know.

With my father, camping in mountains high,
Praying all the time, in endless sky.
He was awesome, proud of me, and I of him,
My one and only dad, gone too soon, but his legacy lives on.
