The brown eyed kid, with a heart of gold
Who's so full of love, it runs out of his every pore
A star-like love, so pure and intense, they run away after receiving their fill
One by one, I've seen them all walk out the door
Promising forever when they do not know what they're letting themselves in for, a life-changing, reality altering, overwhelming kind of love
Yet, a love that is as quiet as a low tide, as comforting as a freshly washed blanket
A love that stays the same every single day
I believe that too much purity can scare people, and often they cannot justify it to them themselves
Which leaves me pondering, will I ever experience a love that stays, that isn't afraid?
