I wrestle with my heart all day
Two weeks ago
I bought some flowers grown from someone's garden
Was proud to even place it on my dining table
Served its purpose, displaying beauty
Two weeks after
It is only when I try to observe clearly
How her own petals betray her on the days they needed her more
Eventually, everything falls
Water was of no use now
Couldn't bring what was once part of her
But she continues to stand still
Despite the paleness
There is still air
Took a half day not to throw it
