The Promise
I once believed in promises so true,
But now I see they were nothing new.
Their words are empty, and broke my heart,
Just like particles they fell apart.
In physics, we learn about forces and such,
Actions and reaction have a touch.
Their promises fell just like gravity,
Leaving me hurt, and feel empty.
In the universe of love and physics alike,
I wish promises will shine forever bright.
A promise unbroken, through trails and tests,
I wish I could trust promises.
so take my lesson, my friend, and know,
A promise once made must be kept forever to show.
