Why do people do bad things?

Everyone wants to be nice
make sacrifices amidst difficulties
so others can smile.

when will is tested ,
thoughts become infested
"what about me,who cares what I want?"
we begin to wonder.

Seeing my smile become wider
should be my first priority
we tell ourselves,
as long as we don't hurt others.

Greed is a myth
starts without us knowing,
then we begin to want
more than we should.

Promises gets broken
trust bids farewell
we become wary,
cause evil has just begun.
