Living a life in distraction
It is hard to take definitive action
Smiles through gritted teeth
Always fighting, not admitting defeat
Distracted
By inflammatory statements
Reinstatements
Or the status quo
We live in a world covered in woe
And because they don’t show
Many never even know
Which way they should go
Distracted
Petty dealings
Hurt feelings
Crying over spilt
milk
not crying over spilt
blood
Why are these children not shown
Basic compassion
It is lacking in the global reaction
Is it all due to distraction
A sense of no accountability for your actions
The reckless war machine
Cleaning up their image from behind the scenes
Destabilize,
Exploit
And never leave
When will they all be free
The exploitation
Brought on by a global democracy
The misguided rememberings
Of sea to shining sea
The manifest destiny
Oh which they don’t seen unease
Blood born riches
Of the free market economy
The dichotomy
Of the oppressed vs the oppressors
The cyclical nature of discontent
The evil never relent
Oppressed showing strength
While the evil sits and waits
Creating yet another distraction
While Rafah breaks
