Rain of Blood
A day will come, when I’ll lie down
Under the bright crimson sky
While trumpets blare across the town
Eyes of humanity would go dry.

The sea would rise to meet the clouds
To make up for lost moisture
And life covered with deathly shrouds
Would succumb to brutal torture.

My running blood will drive a gorge
Soothe our Mother Earth’s skin.
Relationships which sentiments forge
Break down even amongst kin.

I am not the first to go such way
Probably too, won’t be the last
Though angry space has much to say
“What’s fault of love’s die cast?”

In the green field by your courtyard
If little kids do come to play
I pray to you, let down your guard
For again, may never come, this day.
