The Changed Lantern - kids poem
The changed lantern...
Once lit with Castor oil and a wick, it burned throughout the night, illuminating the house.
Years passed, and it gathered dust and rust, like a spider's web, the lantern...
A bird saw it, brought twigs and trash, and built a nest, increasing its beauty.
A home for the tired, a haven for the birds, a witness to the growth of a small family, the lantern...
It saw children growing up, receiving blessings, and the hustle and bustle of a small family, the lantern!!
