Forced to abide
Laugh and not cry

Feeling lone in a crowd
Of those people we care
Goes one in each cell
With mobiles n iPad

With concern n control
Sweet harmony survive
Yet false the pretense
As fast as the pride

Wide slits in bricks
Comes rays of light
White curtains stops
The plain world in sight

From birth to youth
The growing up shelter
A place of solace
Cushioned hut chamber

A hostage in warmth
Behind closed walls
Those grills of metal
Seems as cold jail bars

Turned into a lock up
A perfect detention
On a house arrest
With a facade of freedom

Ghost become friends
As we talk to ourselves
Yet guards escalates
Fortifying fragile psyche

No bail n no parole
Day in n day out
Escapes are fallout
Visitors - not allowed

Blind spots taken
Risks of indecent
Familiar with the plan
Stern at CCTV scan

Who would've guess
The home we bed
Taints confined air
Of free imprisonments
