Inconsiderate and materialistic, you were,
Insensitive, clingy, selfish, by far.
Your true colors now shining so bright,
I'm glad I've seen through your deceptive light.

You never saw beyond your own desire,
To you, my feelings were fuel for the fire.
But I've learned from the pain you've bestowed,
I've grown stronger, my self-worth has flowed.

Disappointment fills my heart today,
But I'm grateful for the truth that came my way.
No longer blinded by your false allure,
I've found myself, stronger and more secure.

You taught me a lesson I won't soon forget,
To value myself and not have regrets.
Though you may be gone from my life's stage,
I'm free from your inconsiderate, selfish cage.
