Remember
Remember
Often are times that we search for things that are right in front of us
Constantly toiling for things that should belong to our past
Never realising our full potential because something keeps holding us back
If only we could have a moment to ourselves to do a reality check
Then we will remember it’s all but just a memory
We are all scared to move on and it’s always been a dare
Afraid to lose all memories of the good times we used to share
Thus we hold on forgetting that it all never was till we created it
And now you wonder what will become of you when you lose it
Just remember who you were before it all began
Love comes knocking on your door again
You are scared to open because to you it only brings pain
But at the same time you wonder if it’s true this time
With confound cowardice you refuse to let the light in your heart shine
Remember it wasn’t them that tore your heart apart
They confess true love but you are deaf to their quest
No one is ever a part of your life, everyone is just a guest
One has to believe in change and second chances
You can never find true happiness in your circumstances
When you look back, you will remember it wasn’t worth it
You will say “Oh look what I have done to myself”
Like an old novel, my love life is now back in the shelf
How can this chapter end like this when I believe in happy endings
Who is to blame when I believe in life and its permutations
Yeah I remember now, I did this to myself
