Shadows Within.
In the depths where whispers curl,
Night unfurls, a silent swirl,
A shroud that wraps the weary soul,
And beckons forth a heavy toll.
Darkness, like a specter's dance,
Invites us in with twisted chance,
A velvet cloak of blurred delight,
Obscures the path, eclipses light.
It swallows hopes in deep despair,
Devours dreams with ravenous care,
Each thought, a flicker, dimmed by fear,
As shadows creep and visions leer.
We drown in echoes, lost, alone,
In halls of sorrow, chill as stone,
Where laughter fades, and colors bleed,
In silence, there, the heart will feed.
Emerging hollow, we wear a guise,
Masks crafted from the darkest lies,
Reflections claim what once was free,
In darkness forged, we cease to be.
Yet in the night, a spark may gleam,
A thread of light, a fleeting dream,
For from the void, we seek to rise,
To cast aside the dark disguise.
So face the shadows, let them burn,
With courage found, for light's return,
In battles fought, we find our way,
From darkness into a brighter day.
