Once upon a lifetime
Though many years ago
A man was losing faith in man
And it was bound to show

As he looked about his life
He saw injustices and pain
He needed to find a hero
To bring sun and end the rain

He searched for months to no avail
As such a hero was not real
So he used an unknown power
To create a man who heals

He built the man from shame and pain
A history he knows
And wrote an epic tale of fate
To bring end to all his woes

He gave the man a cursed gift
That was beyond what was right
And then named him "The Sleeper"
As a guardian of the night
