She's a girl; a woman
#WritcoPoemPrompt19
Etch not unto her pliant flesh,
Cruel marks of your monstrous desire,
She bears your atrocities,
With silent rage,
Waiting to unleash her wrath... like fire.
You dreadful hunters,
Make her the prey.
For your personal aspirations
You take a soul away.
You ignore the way she begs,
And you let your temptation crawl.
You love seeing her helpless,
And how it leads to her downfall.
Think hard, if you even have brains.
Let it sink, if you even have a heart.
You're trying to feed your wild hunger,
While you watch her world falling apart.
It's a cruel world, and she's surviving it.
You're making it harder instead of lending help.
And if she wants to speak, she can't say it out.
You're there to shut down her yelp.
We're so done with your self centered thoughts,
The world doesn't revolve around you.
I wish your parents taught you how to respect a woman,
So in guilt they couldn't have found you.
By why?
Just because she's a girl; a woman.
The question has to arise.
But don't forget,
In her hands, your future lies.
