Clinging to hope, a lifeline to share.
But indifference met me, a heavy weight,
Rejection's sting, a pain that wouldn't abate.

I turned to one I trusted, seeking solace and peace,
But instead, I was told I was wrong, my emotions released.

A constant echo, "You're not as good as..." a painful law.
