to a place where my mind will not wander?
Can you take me there,
to a place where I can freely ponder?
Can you take me there,
where all of my inhibitions will be torn asunder?
Can you take me there,
to a place where every single thought is as bright as lightning?
Where every single thought is as volatile as thunder?

I know that you know,
know that you know how to get there.
I sincerely hope that you take me though,
hope that you know that it's only fair .

So will you take me there,
to a place where nothing lays in shattered pieces?
Will you take me there,
to a place where every day and every moment are better than the last?

You and I,
we were half way there.
For eternity into your eyes I would stare.
I know now that 'we' were far too much for you to bear.
Yet it still seems shocking,
because we were very nearly there.
