Everyday the sun will rise and the sun will set.
The first sunrise is when our eyes first met.
Beautiful colors filled the sky,
they reflected back through your eye.

We didn't know each other much back then
I didn't even know your name
But we met each other everyday when the sun rose
And sat together until the sunset
We were together on every sunrise and sunset

Even when the clouds would cover the sky
Together we would laugh and cry,
Then share our dreams of flying high.
That's when I started to know you,
Not just your name or your face, the real you
Your eyes that once reflected the sun, now reflects me too.

You made me see myself in a way no one else can do.
I bet you see yourself in my eyes too
Because we stopped watching the sun.
We watched each other grow.

Today we watched as the sun rose to the sky
This was the day of our inevitable goodbye.
Of course, wherever we go,
the sun will still rise and fall
So I hope you won't forget me at all

After today, we will watch the sun alone
But I hope you think of me whenever you see the orange sky.
I whispered to you my goodbye
And I held you tight
As we watched our last sunset
