When you hurt a poet
When you hurt a poet
You might leave far away
But his heart and pen never let you escape
The further away you might get
You could still be lying on paper, with all the things you dont remember & poet didn't forget
When you hurt a poet
And you might silently keep it behind curtains about what you did
Or you may be laughing with your friends
& here unknown readers hating on you,who don't know you even your name
when you hurt a poet
When you set each other free, that's where you put him in prison
In a poetic night,he could be painting down a glimmer of you under poetic light
You gave him everything or nothing at all but you gave him a reason to write
His murmuring heart, whispering lips in each verse a heartbreak glimpse
When you hurt a poet
Through time whatever being erased in your head, being written on paper from edge to edge
You could be free somewhere but here in dark ink you are caged, you may not know
They watch you decorated on page, being dull in alphabetic glow

When you hurt a poet
A wide range of poems could take place, measuring your lies
If you know a poet
You better be nice
If you're thinking of hurting a poet
Just think twice!
