Metal Heart
Careless steel caress,
Can't be bothered to,
Get dressed.

A flash of metal,
By my eye.
It could be fatal,
So I tell myself not to die.

A crooked hinge,
Bent to a heart.
Sleepy skin is,
Torn apart.

In a lonely place,
Where I care for you no more.
There the sharp heart,
Beats sore.

Cuts across my chest,
Lay the rotten to rest.
Lines upon my arm,
And no one else shall,
Come to harm.

May the seals engraved,
Into my wrist,
Never be broken,
Should I be missed.

The steel heart sings,
A sirens song.
Wailing, sharp, shrill
And long.
