I'd like to be a poem
And not the poet's grief.
A muse
And not the artist's void.
A story
And not the writer's anguish.
A song
And not the composer's silence.
A dream
And not the dreamer's despair.
A sensation
And not the words' echo.
A passion
And not the yearning's ache.
