Magician
Somebody told me
you don't believe in magic.
I'm inviting you
to watch my show
and I will make you believe.

I

I will not eat swords
but I know I can swallow dynamites.
I have tasted them,
a farewell,
from her bitter tongue.

II

I will not pull a rabbit in my hat
but I know I can pull million daggers.
I have pulled and thrown them away
for noone wants hurting memories last.

She also have thrown them away,
the cards with a different shade.
She left the hearts painted in black
and the spades were covered in red.
She plucked the clubs, the ties we shared.
Crushed the luck of clovers in the fields.
She blinded me with her smile,
the fangs of diamond snake.
I should have believed it,
the first time she hissed,
an ignore from my aching.
She torn us
and left me, never restored.

III

I will not unshackle these hands from a straitjacket
but I know I can free myself from chains.
I have freed this heart
from her laughter, from her smell, from her embrace.

I'm showing you all of these
for I also have been tricked
by her illusion of joy.
A charming potion told me
she's a keeper.
A witch gifted me herself
but even a speck of her shadow,
I couldn't no longer keep.

IV

I will not spit a frog or a fish
but this final act,
I will make you kneel.
Watch me vomit
a poisonous cat
I once kept in my veins.

But most of all,
Everything I showed you
were mere tricks.
I know
that you know
I'm only fooling myself...
