landlord
i painted my mouth gold,
just so i could smile,
this is god’s house,
we haven’t spoken in awhile,
& my, what a beautiful day
to die.
i lost the gold in my mouth,
been missing for awhile,
it could be god’s house,
he has yet to put me on trial,
& while, it’s a merciful day
but why?
i look for the gold in my mouth,
left it back a couple miles,
this maybe god’s house,
he has yet to pick up my dial,
& why, this indisputable day
goes by.
i sold the gold in my mouth,
for a priceless life style,
this used to be god’s house,
but it’s beauty became hostile,
so smile, for another suitable day
to lie.
